Allison Miller 4/12/2020 7:54 PMToday my family rented the movie Dark Waters, based on the true story of Robert Bilott exposing Dupont for the harmful chemicals in their teflon products. It was produced by Mark Ruffalo and he also starred in it. It was a really interesting movie and made my family and I think a lot about chemicals we might be exposed to, as well as exposure in indirect channels such as drinking water. It also was good for us to think about how the people creating products we used can be exposed to these chemicals, and how important it is for us to recognize that before we go out to buy something. I would highly recommend this movie for anyone interested! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Healthy SleepConsider how many hours of sleep you get now. How would you like to shift your sleep patterns? What are you finding works for you to be successful in this action?
Allison Miller 4/10/2020 9:14 AMRight now I have started to power down my electronics 30 minutes before I go to bed. I try to read or do something creative before falling asleep versus being on my phone. I have found that I sleep more soundly when I do this.

REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergy Adjust the ThermostatYour utility company is able to tell you your average energy usage. Ask them how your energy usage compares to others in your ZIP code, region, and/or state. What other steps can you take each day to reduce your electricity usage?
Allison Miller 4/10/2020 9:13 AMWe have been working hard to only keep rooms we use air-conditioned. We figured that we don't use the back office much, so we have stopped air conditioning it. We are also being conscious of our dryer usage. -
Allison Miller 3/31/2020 10:50 AMToday for lunch my family and I made these rice paper wraps! Super easy plant-rich meal that makes for a great family activity! Here is our recipe:
For the wraps: rice paper wraps (we buy this brand at our grocery store), any veggies in the fridge, avocado (other options: mango, tofu, anything works well in these!)
For the sauce: 3 parts peanut butter, 2 parts soy sauce and 1 part honey all mixed together
Instructions:
1. Soak wraps in warm water for 15-20 seconds
2. Transfer to plate and fill with veggies
3. Wrap the sides inward and roll
Enjoy!-
