Kenneth Slaysman 4/12/2020 2:49 PMI've been struggling with lower back pain. Getting out walking for an hour each day is a chore but it helps to loosen my back. Distance learning is not conducive to keeping my back in tact. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth HappinessHow does/can practicing gratitude keep you centered and motivated to work for a better world?
Kenneth Slaysman 4/03/2020 5:23 PMPracticing gratitude helps keep me centered by by making me realize, that despite all the struggles that we are bombarded by daily, I live an extremely blessed life. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity MeditateWhat would you like to invest more time in reflecting on?
Kenneth Slaysman 4/03/2020 2:50 PMMy future. I retire from teaching full time in May. I still love to teach so as I transition to teaching part-time I want to reflect how I can connect more effectively with my students. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWater 5-Minute ShowersFive minute showers are an impressive step toward reducing your water footprint. What is the next step you can take?
Kenneth Slaysman 4/02/2020 3:41 PMWell, 5 minute showers are relatively easy. I can abide by the old adage with flushing the toilet: if its yellow let it mellow, if its brown flush it down. I can make sure the dishwasher is full before running it. -
Kenneth Slaysman 4/01/2020 3:22 PMThis is what my walk looked like today. Made it 30 minutes but not very far. -
Kenneth Slaysman 4/01/2020 12:53 PMI'm bummed, I'm not able to get my 30 minute walks in until I get my back taken care of. Right now I can barely walk 10 minutes. -
Kenneth Slaysman 4/01/2020 12:50 PMDon't forget to register actions completed today!! -
Kenneth Slaysman 4/01/2020 8:14 AMEasiest way to do 5 minute shower is to turn water off while soaping up!! -
Kenneth Slaysman 3/31/2020 2:15 PMFor most of my life I've not considered how my behaviors impacted the climate and by extension the billions of people, the flora and the fauna on this planet. I want our children and grandchildren to have the kinds of opportunities I've had all my life, so I need to continue to change my behavior. I plan on taking shorter showers, eat less meat and extend thanks and kindness to others during this challenge. -
Kenneth Slaysman 3/30/2020 4:52 PMWe're up to second place. Let's add more members and keep moving up and saving the planet.
